Joanna Carden Interiors offers design & styling services in Washington, D.C. and worldwide. Finally, beautiful, livable spaces made simple, accessible and personalized just for you.
STYLE FOR YOUR SPACE,
DESIGNED FOR YOUR LIFESTYLE.
Need help styling your empty mantle? Or maybe you don’t know what to do with your entryway? I’ll help you repurpose items you already have—and source new ones—to style and create the aesthetic you want for your space, one area at a time. (Because everyone needs a great gallery wall.)
Let’s face it; sometimes shopping just isn’t fun anymore. So, when you can’t find the perfect task lamp for your nightstand or you’re tired of trolling Pinterest for just the right Moroccan shag rug, let me step in. With my knowledge of store inventories at every price point, I’ll help you source options within your budget until we’ve found the right fit for you, your style, and your space. (You can close all of those tabs now!)
If you live outside of the Washington D.C. area, we can still work together remotely! We’ll set up a virtual consultation, review your space, and develop an approved design that fits within your budget. When we’re finished, you’ll receive a custom moodboard, space plan, and shopping list created and designed just for you.
If you’re someone who appreciates great design, but has a hard time creating it for yourself—or if you simply don’t have the time to create it at all—our full service package is for you! Collaborate only as much as you want to; you’ll still end up with an Instagram-worthy interior. Inspiration, curation, shopping, installation—we’ll handle it all. All you have to do is fall in love with the final result.
I’m Joanna Carden, a DC interior designer, wife to my husband Jonathan and mother to my baby boy Judah.
I love helping people breathe life and light into their spaces. I can’t wait to collaborate with you, so let’s find a time to chat over great coffee—or even just so-so coffee served with great ambience.
When I’m not styling and restyling my mantle, I enjoy mixing cocktails, exploring new cities (including my own!), and playing what-did-you-just-eat with my son. My favorite things to style are gallery walls, but I could spend every dollar of my decorating budget on accent chairs. I’m thrilled to have seen my work featured by and to have collaborated with some of my favorite brands, including West Elm, Minted, Washingtonian Magazine, Brit.co, HomeGoods, Simply Grove, and more.
